Grief Painting Therapy

I am not a therapist but am using my art to help myself through a recent loss. I am sharing my experiences in the hope that they will help others. Pleaseshare with whoever might benefit from a bit of creative reflection.

There are many stages of grief. You may be experiencing some or all of them. When we turn to reflect through the process of being creative, the grief is contained and the process encourages healing. It helps us to make sense of grief, it may happen through use of colour or a picture that recalls an emotion. The final artwork can encourage further reflective dialogue and enable healing.
